We are excited to announce that a prize in the value of $600 will be awarded for the best student talk and a $300 one for the best poster presentation, sponsored by the American Physical Society. Prizes will be awarded as virtual coupons to be used for books chosen by the winners. The best poster prize will be assigned based on the quality and presentation of the poster. Please indicate in your abstract submission whether you would like to be considered for the prize. For the best student talk prize, a number of finalists will be selected from the best abstracts submitted by students. Please indicate in your submission whether you are a student and would like to be considered for the competition. Postdoctoral researchers within six months of their PhD graduations will be considered, so long as they are presenting work carried out during their PhD. Student presenters who have a talk may also have the opportunity to present their work as a poster, but will not be able to be awarded both prizes in any circumstance.
